Unitary Patent: REGIMBEAU presents SIM'UP, its new free, online budget simulation tool

Paris, 24 October 2016 - REGIMBEAU, European and French Patent Attorneys, presents SIM'UP, its new free, online budget simulation tool, enabling you to compare the post-deliverance costs (including validations and annuity payments) for European Patents in view of the forthcoming Unitary Patent system. The holder of a European Patent will be able to assess, in terms of cost, if there is an interest or not in choosing the unitary effect for countries habitually protected, or whether it is preferable to opt for the classic national validations.

Munich, 11 April 2016 - REGIMBEAU, European Intellectual Property Law firm, is pleased to announce that Masahiro TAHARA has joined our Munich office. A qualified Japanese Patent Attorney, Masahiro gained several years’ experience in IP law firms and in a manufacturing company in Japan.
Specializing in Mechanical Engineering, he started his IP career in 2004 after earning a Bachelor’s degree from Yokohama National University.
REGIMBEAU is widely recognized as a leading firm at the European level, having a vast and successful experience in representing European and non-European applicants for all proceedings before the EPO. REGIMBEAU is ranked 1st French and 2nd European Patent Attorney Firm in number of PCT patent applications(Patent Cooperation Treaty). Compared to last year, REGIMBEAU has gained 2 places in both the French and European standings. These rankings are based on PCT data published on the WIPO website (World Organization of Intellectual Property).

Data Exchange: Standardisation Committee for INNOVATION Management, under the guidance of the AFNOR

Marc LEVIEILS, has been appointed head of the “Data Exchange” working group, attached to the standardisation committee for INNOVATION Management, under the guidance of the AFNOR.
This group aims to remove the obstacles of a collaborative working relationship to steer and manage Intellectual Property rights.
It will furnish recommendations aimed at promoting the electronic exchange of data relating to IP Rights (patents, trademarks, designs, etc) between the different IP stakeholders (IP Offices, rights owners and service providers), by harmonising and structuring the information.
According to the organisational rules of this type of committee, all interested parties are invited to join the group.
